SPCC, an important non-profit organization of sculpture theoretical research and sculptural art communications, belongs to the China Association for Science and Technology and was established in 1991. It also holds the duties of developing Continuing Education and Universal Education of sculpture art and providing assistances to sculptors’ rights protection. There are more than 1,000 members of SPCC, whom are sculptors, craftsman, theorists, curators, officials in architecture and urban planning departments, sculpture corporations, teachers of art colleges and so on… With the aims of opening the field of sculptors’ vision, constructing the theoretical system of Chinese sculpture, enhancing the sculpture market and promoting sustainable development of folk and academic sculpture, the SPCC has developed brand projects such as the annual “China Sculpture Forum” since 1995, “China Caving Art Festival” since 1993 (held now for 10 occasions), the annual “National Sculpture Exhibition of Outstanding Art College Graduates” since 2006, the “China International Sculpture Almanac Exhibition”, the “Pan-Sculpture Art Exhibition”, etc.. The SPCC has also published the bimonthly -China National Sculpture Magazine since 1995 and the biennial since 2001. The SPCC is the most stable and authoritative promoter of the past recent 20 years’ of Chinese sculpture enterprise and has indisputable influence within the sphere of sculpture in China.
The Aesthetics Education Professional Commission of CSE (FACSE) was established at 1987, which is the important group to promote the development of China aesthetics education. The commission aims to improve the academic development and holds many international activities including aesthetics education, communication, training and contest on the basis of supports by Ministry of Education and Chinese Education Society. The committee also participates to reform aesthetic courses in ministry of education, to assist Elementary Education Department in constituting the teaching program for nine-year compulsory education, to strengthen aesthetic courses construction, to improve teacher’s professional quality, and obtains great accomplishment in the aspect of promoting the revolution and development of China aesthetic education
